Patricia Anne Purdon:  Christian Family Life Chairperson

Patricia is currently Christian Family Life Chairperson, she was the Corresponding Secretary for the 2007 - 2009 term of the Kingston Archdiocesan Council of the CWL.

Patricia is the mother of three adult children and grandmother of Erin and Alexander. She lives on a farm in Westport .

Joined the League in 1980 in Lanark. She served as Christian Family Life, Spiritual Development and Communications Chairpersons and as President.

She also worked tirelessly within the Lanark community:

-         as the parish secretary

-             on parish council

-         Public relations for the Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society and Lanark Legion.

-         Volunteered in the elementary school, food distribution (prior to establishment of the food bank)

-         Junior Editor for a publishing company

-         Editor for the Lanark Era newspaper

-         Worked in Palliative Care for the Red Cross

-         Editor of historical books for area churches

-         Wrote historical book for Lanark County, Over a Hundred Years of Firefighting

-         Assisted with New to You clothing sales for ten years (distributing clothes to the Shepherd's of Good Hope in Ottawa )

-         Active in Lay Ministry within the Diocese, taking courses and workshops in liturgy, pastoral care, funerals, and Justice and Peace.

Active in St. Edward parish as League President for numerous terms.  Instrumental in rejuvenating parish counil.  Volunteers on Parish Pastoral Council.
